15-Year-Old Taylin Jordan Identified as Victim in Fatal Missoula Shooting
A tragic incident in Missoula has claimed the life of 15-year-old Taylin Jordan, leaving the community grieving the loss of a young life.
According to the Missoula Police Department, officers responded just after midnight on Saturday, April 11, 2026, to reports of a shooting in the 4900 block of Alex Lane. Upon their arrival, they discovered a juvenile female who had sustained a gunshot wound.
Emergency responders transported Taylin to a nearby hospital, but despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries.
Investigation and arrest
Detectives quickly launched an investigation and conducted multiple interviews with individuals present at the scene. Authorities have confirmed the identification of all individuals involved in the incident.
A juvenile male has been taken into custody and is currently being held on a charge of negligent homicide. Due to the ages of those involved, police have not released the suspect’s identity. 
Officials said there is no ongoing threat to the public and no need for community assistance.
“This is an active investigation and no additional information will be released at this time,” the department stated.

Taylin Jordan is being remembered by loved ones as a cherished daughter and sister. She was predeceased by her mother, Tanielle Kickingwoman, and is survived by her younger sister, Braylin Molly Kickingwoman.
